surprise session // solid GOLD

When Paige contacted me regarding her need for a session, I cannot even explain to you how excited I was. The elements involved a surprise, pre-gaming at the bar, a cooler of booze being delivered before the guests arrived…all great things…all great things. To prepare, I diligently researched “Awkward Family Photos” to get the proper inspiration. The result was the most amazing models I have ever had the pleasure with which to work, lots of laughter, maybe a spilled beer along the way, and just tons of fun.

The lead up included most everyone in the crew being blindfolded and led up the stairs and elevator into the studio. For any of my clients who have been to the studio, you know what an arduous feat this was. Someone did guess where we were by the smell in the elevator, which I have to say was pretty impressive! (It’s not gross…don’t worry…) The squeals of delight when it was determined that it was a surprise photo session absolutely made my life. The natural-born models with their ready-for-action poses…just brilliant. BRILLIANT!!!

Next time you guys are all together in town, I am going to tag along for the party. You are all awesome!

We did manage to grab a couple of “normal” pictures in between the silliness, but I think the really exaggerated ones are still my favorite!!!
